Welcome to my webpage! I am a labor economist. My research and courses focus on labor problems, technological change, industrial relations, what unions do, monopsony, and inequality. In the first half of the 20th century, the Industrial Revolution served as a catalyst for the emergence of a middle class, a more competitive wage system and labor market institutions. However, since 1980, the middle class has eroded, worker power has declined, and inequality has risen. I aim to address these challenges and contribute to a future where work is equitable and prosperous for all.
